RGU14 Super Smash Melee Championship Tournament

"This was the largest Smash Melee tournament Winnipeg has seen"  -Tournament Contestant The field was intense, over 108 players (54 teams) came out to compete to become RGCW's First Super Smash Melee Team Champions On April 5th 2014 at Retro Gamers Unite , over 108 gamers (54 teams) competed to become Retro Gamers Winnipeg's first ever Super Smash Bros. Melee 2on2 Team Champions (and at the same time supporting charity)! The field was intense, the competitors fierce, but in the end, two teams fought while onlookers gasped in fainted breath. I know the words I used are poetic, but if you were there... you know it! =D

Super Mario Bros.One Life Run - Winnipeg Top Scores

The Challenge Get the closest to beating the game (or the highest level) with the highest score in only 1 life. Click here for official rules from the forum Game Specific Rules -No Level-to-Level warps (in level warps okay) -If someone beats the game or ties a level, the highest score shall be the tie breaker -Not a time trial, turn ends once you die.

Winnipeg Retro Video Gamers Raise Money and Donations for Lighthouse Mission

RGCW Coordinators Nate and Ed with Lighthouse Mission's crew. We just finished delivering 500lbs of donations for Winnipeg's less fortunate!  On April 5th 2014, retro video game fans gathered at Retro Gamers Unite , Winnipeg's first retro video game convetntion in support of the city's longest running homeless shelter, Lighthouse Mission . They raised over $1500 and 500 pounds of food and clothing donations for Winnipeg's less fortunate. Operation Manager Joel Cormie and Administrative Assistant J'Lynn Johnson were overwhelmed and very thankful to Winnipeg's retro video game community for their generosity! They said it best, you (the retro video game community) didn't just deliver money, food and clothing... you delivered hope, and that's worth more than gold!
